In contrast to Dubai’s towering skyscrapers, Bulgari Resort Dubai is a low rise resort that has the feel of a Mediterranean village. As with all Bulgari hotels and resorts, Italian design style shines through to create an ultra-stylish and sophisticated place to call home.

Bulgari Resort Dubai is the first of its kind for the Bulgari brand in terms of scale. Set on Jumeirah Bay, one of Dubai’s man-made islands, the resort has many highlights including a private white sand beach – complete with Arabian Gulf views – and Bulgari’s first ever Marina and Yacht Club. The setting feels far from the hustle and bustle of the city, yet it’s just a two-minute drive over a 300-metre-long bridge to the mainland and onto Jumeirah Beach Road. Fifteen minutes away is the Burj Khalifa that rises way above any other building here, or the world, for that matter.

A true oasis, the resort is surrounded by lush gardens with Mediterranean plants that salute Bulgari’s Mediterranean heritage, as does the traditional design and contemporary Italian architecture. However, touches including the custom-designed brise soleil that beautifully helps to deflect the sun’s rays and keep the property cool give a nod to Arabia, too.

Guest accommodation comprises luxurious rooms and suites each with a balcony and either sea, marina or Dubai skyline views. For extra indulgence, the Bulgari Suite offers a spacious living area, indoor and outdoor dining facilities and a stunning wrap-around terrace with full sea view, as well as a jacuzzi made for two. If you really want to push the boat out, there are 20 one to three bedroomed villas that come with a pool, a garden and butler service. Chic additions throughout include vintage trunk-style mini-bars, cashmere throws and handcrafted Italian furniture.

Meanwhile, the amenities on site are equally stylish. There are several bars and restaurants including the gourmet Italian restaurant, Il Ristorante – Niko Romito, by three-Michelin-starred chef Niko Romito, while Il Café is open throughout the day – perfect for Middle Eastern bread and dips when you’re feeling peckish.

You can also enjoy a treatment in the Bulgari Spa, where you’ll find a traditional hammam and indoor pool, or go for a workout in the gym. Better yet, hit the exclusive La Spiaggia beach club with its stunning mosaic swimming pool. The icing on the cake is the private marina featuring 50 boat berths and the Bvlgari Yacht Club with its ultra uber-chic restaurant.
