As the first Andaz in South-East Asia, Andaz Singapore pulls out all the stops. Located near Marina Bay in the Bugis district, you’ll be near superb shopping and dining venues and close to the Kampong Glam, Bras Basah Bugis and Little India cultural districts. But you won’t need to venture far to forage, rest assured, as the hotel’s restaurants are some of the most innovative and best in town.

If you arrive into Singapore in the evening, you’re in luck as the hotel’s 39th-floor rooftop bar, Mr. Stork, is a great place to get your bearings and enjoy a peaceful moment with a cool drink while you take in the views. The bartenders are happy to point out a few of the city’s attractions from up here, as well as many iconic symbols of the city.

Head indoors and there’s a lot to discover. The property’s interior spaces were designed (by Hong Kong’s Andre Fu) to resemble Singapore’s neighbourhood alleyways and shophouses. There’s artwork to admire everywhere you look, and the public spaces truly reflect the local multi-cultural urban spirit in both furnishings and fittings.

Located on floors 25 to 39 of the Duo skyscraper, the hotel has 342 rooms, 26 of which are suites. Rooms are bright and modern and very well-appointed with wood floors, cosy beds and floor-to-ceiling sound-proofed glass windows boasting some beautiful views. There’s a Nespresso machine in each room and TWG (Singapore’s very own; don’t forget to visit their shop) tea which is lovely.

Bathrooms are large, with walk-in showers with rainfall showerheads, luxury amenities and fluffy bathrobes. If you need a bathtub, upgrade to a suite. Otherwise, all rooms have ample space and access to the Sunroom, where complimentary refreshments are served round the clock.

We love the large, outdoor pool where you can order a drink or food day and night, even through Andy the hotel’s chatbot concierge who’s on messenger at all times. Even without him, you won’t go hungry; there are six restaurants here offering some very exciting dining options.

It’s often too hot here in town to exercise in the great outdoors, so the hotel has a 24-hour gym (with a view) on the 28th floor. Even better, though, is that as a guest you’ll have access to the Virgin Active Fitness Club that’s within the Duo Galleria. Talk about ‘wow’.
