UNITED – BUSINESS CLASS (TransCon)
Business Class B-757-200
San Francisco / New York – Newark November 2015
Today’s flight began—as a very high share of United Airlines flights do—with an aircraft mechanical delay that lasted two hours.
Poor operations and reduced in-flight service levels have led to a large share of frequent travelers such as myself, once loyal to the carrier, to shift to other airlines for their business travel needs as United simply can no longer be relied upon for on-time operations or a consistently good service product.
United’s ‘p.s.’ (premium service) product is provided on all of the carrier’s transcontinental flights between Newark and San Francisco and Los Angeles. Operated on two-class B-757-200 aircraft, the only significant difference between the carrier’s ‘p.s.’ flights and its other domestic flights is the availability of a lie-flat seat in the premium cabin of the aircraft.
